My story
A builder’s journey through engineering, technology, and business.
I’m Niraj Ojha, a multidisciplinary engineer and founder based in Ahmedabad. My work spans electronics and IoT, automotive engineering, manufacturing, software, applications, AI, and industrial automation.
I’m interested in the whole product: the problem it addresses, how it works, how people use it, and what it takes to build a business around it.
My journey began with curiosity about technology and a habit of learning by trying. A Gujarat-level Science Fair win in 2014 became an early milestone in that journey.
Automotive engineering gave me a way to explore several technical disciplines together. In 2019, I led ADIT College’s winning ETWDC team. The following year, I contributed in a different role, mentoring Team Adway as it won the competition again.
During 2019–2020, I also worked as an R&D intern at CEAT Tyres under a Senior Manager. That period brought together competition experience and exposure to industrial research and development.
In 2020, I received the Gaurav Puraskar from a CVM trustee and served as a Cyber Expert for the Gujarat Government. My business journey continued with my first office in 2021, my first workshop in 2023, and a new office in 2025.
As my work grew, I also began supporting other businesses. I started independent business advisory work in 2024 and became a mentor at iHub in 2025.
Today, I run Uminber Designs Private Limited, Corpeight Labs Private Limited, and Swap Automotive Private Limited. Shodh began in 2025; Nyxo and the independent organisation Artist House began in 2026.
Across these efforts, I stay interested in the same question: what can we build that is useful, well considered, and worth taking forward?

Mentoring and advisory work give me a way to support others while continuing to learn from different problems and perspectives.
There is room for creativity, too.
Alongside my technical work, I write Hindi poetry. Writing gives me another way to explore ideas and express what matters to me.
